A Happy Battle Graciously Fought: FrancisM. (1964-2009)

Francis Magalona(a.k.a. FrancisM, Master Rapper, and The Man From Manila) succumbed to his illness, acute myelogenous leukemia, yesterday (March 6,2009).

I remember him first as Alma Moreno’s co-host in Loveliness. He has a segment there where he would rap to intro Ness’ weekly top ten song and dance number. Willie Revillame was his drummer that time. When his “YO!” album went out, It was always on my huge primitive walkman playing until the batteries died. There are so many unforgetable songs from him.. Kaleidoscope World, Cold Summer Nights, Mga Kababayan just to name a few. He paved way to a new breed of local artist and is considered one the pillars of OPM.

You will be missed and not forgotten.. You have fought a HAPPY BATTLE.. SEAMLESS NA!!!
